Muhammad Mojlum Khan is an award-winning British writer, literary critic and research scholar. Born in 1973 in Habiganj district, Greater Sylhet, Bangladesh, he was brought up and educated in England, United Kingdom. He completed his further and higher education in Islamic studies, social sciences and education, obtaining a first degree (BA Hons) before completing a Professional Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) in 2011, and qualified as a teacher. He also pursued PhD-level training in research methodology and techniques for two years. He was elected a Fellow of the Royal Asiatic Society of Great Britain and Ireland in 2010 and is a Founding Director of Bengal Muslim Research Institute UK. In addition to publishing more than 200 essays, articles and reviews worldwide, he is the author of three internationally acclaimed books and his writings have been translated into several languages. During the last 25 years, his writings have been published in many journals, magazines and newspapers including The Muslims News (Harrow, Middlesex), The Muslim Post (London), Milli Gazette (India), The Tri-State Muslim (New York, USA), PIPFA Quarterly Journal (Karachi, Pakistan), The Muslim World Book Review (Leicester, UK), Islamic Research Journal (Rajshahi, Bangladesh), Qatar Peninsula (Doha, Qatar) and Journal of the Muslim World League (Makkah, Saudi Arabia), among others. He was also a regular contributor on local BBC Radio for many years and was interviewed by The Islam Channel (London) for an in-depth documentary on ‘The Muslim Heritage of Bangladesh’ in 2016.
